Great days indeed ampfixer A pal of mine uses Bias live on small gigs and he has great ears We live in amazing times, with all that is available to us, the convenience and quality provided by what is available to us for peanuts really, so much variety, something for everyone. Would anyone, after hearing what they themselves think is the best sounding guitar tone/sound they have ever heard, turn around and say that is crap because they found out that some of it's modeling process isn't in fact based on how it actually is in the real world ? I wouldn't. In the end it is no different to any other effect or whatever that you play your guitar through, the what's, why's, when's and how's aren't of any concern, all that matters is what your ears, what you yourself think of what you hear and feel, the rest just doesn't matter. I purchased the 5 Surh packs from Choptones (well every pack the have), I have no idea what a Suhr amp sounds like, had never even heard of them before, all I know is that it is probably the most gorgeous sounding thing I have ever played my guitar through, clean or distorted, does it matter if it even sounds like a real Suhr amp ? not in the least. Some people prefer Marshall's, some Fender, and others Mesa Boogie, myself I prefer Laney's, and what is an amp supposed to sound like anyway. All the amp sims I own, they all sound convincing, you know what it is trying to be, an amp sim, not once have I purchased an amp sim and thought to myself, 'Is this an amp sim or did I buy a Synth' some will do it better than others, and that will also depend on the individual. Your walking down the street, you walk past a house, you here someone playing guitar, unbeknownst to you, through an amp sim, Amplitube, BIAS Amp, S-Gear 2, TH3, whatever, it doesn't matter, all you know is that there is someone in there playing a guitar with a distorted tone, or a clean tone, or with a chorus and delay applied, whatever, it sounds convincing, because you can recognize what is going on.

As I said in the IK Mic modeler thread (I think) it doesn't matter to me what they call it, what they say it is, what they say it's made to emulate, I couldn't care less if they said it was modeled after a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier or a Dead Tree Branch, the only thing that matters is it is something I put in my signal chain and play my guitar through and it sounds better than it did before, it's that simple.

POSITIVE GRID FX DOWNLOAD PATCHES SOFTWARE
To me it is just the same as any FX, a stomp box, and FX rack, whatever, it is just something you play your guitar through and the resulting sound is good, pleasing to your ears.To me BIAS Amp Pro, BIAS FX Pro, TH2 and TH3 sound head and shoulders above everything else, and I do own most of what is available in the software world, that's my personal opinion. ) whether it does or does not sound like what it is supposedly modeled after, whether the 'electronics' work as they do/should in the real world, none of that makes any difference. To me it doesn't matter what it's called (amp Sim) what it's modeled on (Marshall, Mesa, Fender, Laney. Be warned, the installation is a pain, and somewhat tedious, but easy enough, and once installed much more than worth it So if you got BIAS, Amp or FX, be sure and do yourself a favor and check these out, they are truely awesome and further cement why BIAS is at the top of the heap, and THE one to beat. Rapturous, if I was of another denomination I would probably start speaking in tongues. Not only does the demonstration video sound awesome, as it should I guess, but it's not until you hear them and feel them yourself that it really hits home just how good these are.

Choptones has kicked BIAS Amp Pro and BIAS FX Pro into another gear, their amps are simply and totally awesome. I just ended up buying the lot and they are simply gorgeous every last one of them. Not mention the hi gain heaven that is the Peavey 6550+ or the ENGL Powerball 2 E645 (Brilliantly awesome) or the Marshall JCM800KK Kerry King Signature, all simply awesome. I started off by just purchasing a couple to check them out, Volume 1 of the Dual Rectifier, Volume 1 of the Mesa MV, all I can say is simply mind blowing, the sound and the feel, just awesome, so I checked out Volume 1 of an amp I had never heard off, a 'Suhr / Custom Audio Amplifiers PT-100 Pete Thorn Signature Head' it sounded good in the videos, but my God this is a gorgeous sounding amp, the cleans/slight breakup/light crunch whatever are to die for, not to say the high gain side is lacking, it also kicks serious buttocks, briliant. Do yourselves a favor and checkout Choptones amps, they are simply amazing.
